About: NEET 2020: After the Supreme Court today refused to entertain the review petition filed by ministers of six states seeking review of the court’s order to conduct NEET and JEE, NEET 2020 will be conducted on 13th September 2020 from 2 pm to 5 pm as per the old schedule. The officials released NEET 2020 Admit Card on August 26 on the official website. Candidates appearing for the exam can check exam centre details and download the admit card here. Previously, NEET 2020 was supposed to be conducted in May and July respectively, but due to COVID-19 pandemic, the exam was postponed. The officials have also released various instructions and guidelines to be followed while appearing for the exam. National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test, NEET is a single entrance exam for admission to MBBS and BDS courses in India. Candidates who wish to secure admission in Indian Medical colleges must qualify NEET 2020 Exam. The NEET entrance exam is conducted in offline mode every year. Rescheduling of NEET 2020: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released a notice on July 3rd regarding the rescheduling of NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) exam. The NEET exam will now be conducted on 13th September 2020. Earlier it was to be held on 26th July 2020. NEET 2020 will be conducted on September 13, 2020, from 2.00 pm to 5.00 pm. NEET Correction Window Reactivated: Candidates are allowed to make correction/changes in the online application form and exam centres from 4th July 2020 to 15th July 2020. Changes in the application form can be made till 5 pm and the fee can be submitted till 11.50 pm. Students can visit the official website and make the necessary changes. NEET Admit Card Released: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released NEET 2020 Admit Card on August 26 on the official website. The National Testing Agency, NTA has released the exam centre details for NEET 2020 exam on its official website. Candidates appearing for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test 2020 can know their centre city here. NEET admit card is also expected to release soon on the official website. Candidates must go through detailed safety plan for NEET 2020 exam. The comprehensive plan and the advisory has been released based on various instructions and guidelines issued by the government in regard to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Following are the measures which will be taken by NTA to ensure maximum safety and smooth conduct of the NEET exam during this pandemic: Allocation of the candidates at examination centres. Training of staff on social distancing norms. Sanitizing the examination centres and equipping examination functionaries. Fresh masks and gloves to be used by exam officials after staff verification is done. Inventory management is to be followed in each of the exam centres. Staff verification and self-declaration to be submitted. Crowd management outside the examination centres. The entry of candidates as per the given time slot in admit card. Escorting candidates into separate registration rooms. Use of thermo guns. Maintain a record of all exam functionaries. Post examination controls.

Application Correction Extended: According to a recent notice issued by NTA, the last date for making corrections in the application form of NEET exam has been extended till July 20, 2020. This is the last chance for candidates who want to make any corrections in the application form. Check the detailed notice here. The notice states “Some of the candidates have uploaded Photograph/ Signature/Left-hand thumb impression which is illegible or have uploaded Photographs with Mask; such candidates are advised to upload clear photograph/signature of the desired specification to avoid cancellation of their candidature”. Aspirants can also change exam centre choices until 20th July. Candidates must note that changes in the application form will not be accepted through fax/application or email. Candidates who have sent an email earlier regarding corrections are advised to verify and make necessary corrections in the application form.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued a notice regarding the fake public notice circulated on 15th June 2020. The notification clarifies that there is no change in the NEET 2020 exam date. The NEET 2020 Exam will be conducted on July 26, 2020. Therefore, NTA has not made any changes in the exam schedule of NEET 2020.

NTA has warned and is investigating the source for spreading such fake news. The officials have assured that strict actions will be taken against those found guilty.
